Dr. Gurm completed his DVM studies in 2006 from Washington State University, Pullman including an ECFVG internship and graduate work in Neurosciences.
He offers a wide range of medical & surgical procedures. His special areas of interest are wellness care, geriatric care, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, orthopedics and soft tissue surgery. He is also accredited in stem-cell regenerative therapy for chronic degenerative conditions in pets (including but not limited to arthritis). He lives in Kenmore with wife, kids and parents. Prior to founding Juanita Hills Animal Hospital, Dr. Gurm was leading Veterinarian of a team of 4 doctors at a busy practice in Everett, Washington as Medical Director. He also worked as an Emergency Veterinarian at a 24 hour multi-doctor practice in downtown Chicago before moving back to Washington State.
Dr. Gurm is an active member of American Veterinary medical Association (AVMA), Washington State Veterinary Medical Association (WSVMA) and Veterinary Information Network (VIN). When not working, he loves to spend time in golf course, travelling and entertaining family and friends. He is also into motorsports and adventure sports.
Dr. Kim Martin joined our hospital in September 2013 and comes on board as an enthusiastic team member. She completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2010 from Oregon State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. Before she devoted herself to DVM studies, she worked as a Veterinary Assistant which provided her strong and clinical knowledge in veterinary field. Her professional interests are in preventive care, dermatology, dentistry and soft tissue surgery. She is an active member of American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and likes to keep her abreast of all the new advancements in Veterinary medicine.
Our clients specially love her friendly and helpful nature. She believes in practicing highest quality medicine and excellent client education. She lives with her husband (also a Veterinarian) in Kenmore. They have two dogs Mo and Lucy, and a cat named Spike.
Dr. Tine grew up in Uncasville, Connecticut. She always had a soft spot in her heart for dogs and cats, and knew that she wanted to be a veterinarian someday. She attended the University of Connecticut and was the president of the Pre-Veterinary Club while there. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Pathobiology and a minor in Business Administration. Then, she traveled to the mid-west where she attended the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University for 4 years. She was on the executive board of the Veterinary Business Management Association and the Student Chapter of the American Association of Feline Practitioners during veterinary school.
Dr. Tine is currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Puget Sound Veterinary Medical Association. Her professional interests include emergency medicine, surgery, and internal medicine. Dr. Tine is very excited to have joined Juanita Hills Animal Hospital where the health and well being of the patients is the biggest priority.
